Our vision
Patients will be able to access appropriate and high quality GP services at a time that is convenient for their needs. If a patient needs to visit their GP they will find it easier to book an appointment that is convenient to them, but can also obtain advice from a telephone appointment or get help from another member of the primary care team such as a practice nurse.
Patients will be able to get same day access to their GP by taking an appointment that is suitable to their needs and will find that services are consistent regardless of practice location.
New GP health centres and GP practices will be available to deliver effective and innovative services. Local services will be tailored to patients needs and patients will be able to choose a GP who offers extended opening and access to evening and weekend appointments.
